Dvorak Symphony No. 6

Join the award-winning Park Avenue Chamber Symphony and Narrator and WQXR radio personality Elliott Forrest for “Heroes and Legends” honoring our veterans and the memory of our 35th President, John Fitzgerald Kennedy on the 55th anniversary of his passing.  The program begins with the New York Premiere of Steven Rosenhaus “JFK: A Profile” combining iconic American music with narration taken directly from Kennedy’s own words.  We will then feature 15 year old clarinetist Eli Goldberger in Weber’s brilliant and evocative Concerto No. 1.  Our program concludes with Antonín Dvořák’s brilliant Symphony No. 6—the work that propelled the composer into the international spotlight—taking his place as a legend of classical music.
